Our Story
From the start...
I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur, but I didn’t know exactly what kind of business I would start. After high school, I went to college for fashion design and fell completely in love with it. I spent everyday making patterns, sketching, and sewing. I fell into my little bubble of the fashion world and design. After two years in the design world of fashion, I decided to expand my knowledge and go into the business side of fashion. I wanted to know it all - everything from the marketing, the finances, the global trade, the production, the branding, the psychology of it. After 5 years of learning about fashion, I spent my last semester in Italy to top off my college career, and oh boy did I fall in love. The fashion, the production, the ‘slow fashion’ - it changed my entire perspective on fashion. I knew that this was what I had been looking for throughout my time in college, trying to figure out what I truly valued. This new point of view was finally the start of my career. One year later… Jules Street Boutique came to be.
The Vision
Jules Street Boutique aims to be a small, curated collection of pieces that will be classics in your wardrobe. My goal is to find timeless pieces with a fun twist that can be dressed up or down. I want to help you create a wardrobe that feels like you have endless outfits - helping you find pieces that can be mixed and matched with just about anything in your closet.
My goal is to continue to keep my collections small, while searching for brands that carry the same beliefs and vision I do. With almost all brands I carry being woman-owned, these each also have some sustainable contribution, whether that be minimizing over-production, eco-friendly materials, eco-friendly packaging, ethical working conditions, supporting charities, or smaller businesses. This is something that continues to be one of my biggest prioritizes with my business and something I will keep perfecting throughout my career.
Meet The Team!
A warm welcome from the Jules Street Boutique team! This team has been here since the very start and I know for a fact they will be here till the end (they don’t really have a choice). I couldn’t have started or continued to grow without these two, and I am forever thankful for their support.
Dad - photographer and photoshoot prep assistant, handyman, and e-commerce assistant
Mom - model, photographer, event prep, financial assistant, and therapist
Yes, my biggest helpers, the one and only, mom & dad. They’ve helped me so much with just everything - from being at all our pop ups, the photoshoots, the websites, and all the things in between.
Our Office Space
With all my photoshoots being outdoors and having our pop ups primarily in our front yard, I think you could guess what the office space looks like. Yep, you guessed it. It’s our living room and my bedroom! We’ve managed to run this boutique out of my parents 800 square foot beach house. All inventory is stored (and protected) under my bed, our packing orders station is our kitchen counter, and the desk set up is pretty much wherever looks the most comfy (usually my bed).
While we are still in our first year in business, there is still so much room to grow. Thank you to each and every one of you who has supported me on this journey. I couldn't do it without your love and support.
